School me on max change coding

Im not quite getting how the max change thing works.

I have my fans coded to go on and off with this

If Temp > 79.5 Then FAN ON //Turn fans on
If Temp < 79.0 Then FAN OFF //Turn fans off

I would like to set it to keep the fans on for no less then 10 min and turn off for no less then 10 min. They currently go on and off about once every 2-3 minutes.

Use the DEFER command

If SmpTemp > 79.2 Then ON
If SmpTemp < 79.0 Then OFF
Defer 010:00 Then ON
Defer 010:00 Then OFF

AC3 or APEX?

If AC3, max change is what you want.

If Temp > 79.5 Then FAN ON //Turn fans on
Max Change 010 M Then FAN ON
If Temp < 79.0 Then FAN OFF //Turn fans off
Max Chage 010 M Then FAN OFF
