Schooling fish recommendations

Instead of the common green chromis, I'm going to try a group of the Blue reef chromis in my new tank. They are a deep blue with a black-tipped fork tail. Other suggestions would be a small group of anthias (bartlett, lyretails(although they get a bit big).

I second the Blue Reef chromis! Although, I also like the Green Chromis and think you could not go wrong with either. They look dazzling in a reef, IMO.

Blue Chromis
Chromis cyanea

I see it now my bad the

green is Chromis viridis

And the blue is Chromis cyanea

It was throwing me off seance so many people lable them as a Blue Green Chromis

I have 12 Green Chromis (started with 15 of them three months ago) and they shoal about 50% of the time. They follow my hand during feeding time which is kinda fun. They individually split off at night when it is time to go to sleep which is interesting to see as well. I have a Bartletts Anthias and if I were to do it again, I would have done several of them.

How many of the glass/blue eyed cardinals would a person need to buy at one time to ensure a school?

Someone was selling his two - they killed the others. I was certain I wanted to try this fish until he said his two killed off the other ones!

Have any of you kept them??

I hear that of the Chromis as well. Even though I have a 300g, I have noticed some aggression towards one another more lately. Which makes me wonder if I'll eventually end up with only a couple, lol.

Chromis often weed out the weakest. I have two shoals (no fish will truly school in out sized tanks) of cardinals and they work out well.
