Science channel - venemous lionfish

My buddy took a hit to the foot during our last spearfishing tourney, swelled up something fierce and got infected. Wasn't right for a week haha.

How was the show? I haven't seen it but i know they are a huge problem, my grouper holes past 100 feet are covered up.

It was interesting, basically nothing eats them so they just swim slowly and gobble up anything in sight. They've spread through all of the Gulf and mid south america. At the end they were training sharks to eat them so that'll help control the population in the future.

We just need to go out and round a bunch up and have a good old fashion fish fry, cause those things are delicious. I ate some a couple years back in Puerto Rico, and certainly wouldn't mind having more.

I don't know about shark training, most of the lions are in deeper water and not many small sharks in deep water. Me and my buds started just shooting them and leaving them behind for hopefully a grouper to find, maybe this will help the grouper develop a taste for them.

Thats true, they did find a lot in the deeper water as well. Excellent lol, groupers do eat them but only when they are an easy meal.
