Looks awesome Steve! Love rimeless tanks, will be nice to see the progress on the tank. Would also be nice to follow how you set up most of your automation, that way I can just mimic it
Thank you sir. I'll definitely be following up with details. Most are worked out. But not all. Particularly the plumbing.
When you try to cram a lot into a small space, the number of dependencies begin to get a little silly. For example...
Stand's finished, so I can begin to drill the holes for plumbing. But FIRST I have to know if it will all fit the way I think it should. So technical sketches have to be created. And I can't complete the sketches without knowing how I'm going to ventilate the stand. Likewise, can't do those sketches until I know exactly where I'm going to put my overflow and returns. But I can't know that until I finalize my rockscape.
It's like that old song Dem Bones... "The thigh bones, connected to the - knee bone. The knee bone's connected to the... "
It's all connected and interdependent, making the whole process frustratingly long. But this is a hobby that penalizes the people that rush, and rewards the plodders.
Thanks Tyler. I always try hard to research and plan, yet - surprise, surprise - there always manage to overlook something. Plus there's always the things I planned well, but the result is sub-optimal, because I was operating on some incorrect assumption.
And then there's just getting something wrong because I didn't know what I didn't know. STILL, planning seems to make a huge difference. Lets let the result be the judge of that.
