Scoly shipment

Just received my new Scoly from live aquaria, and its been in my aquarium for about 6 hours and it still showing the skeletal structure on the edges. This is my first scoly and the 2nd or 3rd coral Ive bought online. Is this just due to the shipment or should I be contacting liveaquaria?

its spikes are clearly through the flesh all the way towards the mouth in that pic. I would most definitely get my money back if it was me. GL

It might be a good idea to give Liveaquaria a heads up in case it doesn't make it and you need to make a claim, but I wouldn't write that one off. Give it a couple days and it should be fine.

Yeah, document with liveaquaria. There is some serious recession there that is not evident in the WYSIWYG picture.

I have found them to be very fair in working out a resolution to problems like this.

You may want to see if you can get a feeding response out of it, it is going to need some extra energy to rebuild.

It seems to be trending in the right direction. Although the recession around the edges is bothersome has anyone one had any success with partial refunds for damaged or not as pictured corals? I want to see if it recovers but the high price-tag for this now seems unfair.

I wouldn't be too concerned with getting a refund from Diver's Den. You have 14 days to see how the scoly recovers. If it doesn't get better or fully recover, I am certain that they will take care of you. In some cases, they will extend the 14 day coverage to give the coral/fish more time to rebound. If it was me, I would definitely email them the photo and write a brief description as to the statues of your scoly. This way, they have it on file that the scoly arrived in not very good condition. IMO, Live Aquaria is one of the best around. You will be fine.
