Scolymia bleached?

Hi everyone, this is my first post. I just got a scolymia coral and it looks a little bit bleached. I have had it for 2 days and it has not opened up yet.:sad2:

Welcome to the forums! Can you post a pic? I'm not sure what you mean by opening up. Most scolies only open for feeding and that's at night. If you're afraid of bleaching, put it on the bottom of your tank and get it in some shade. I find certain ones take high light better than others. Bleeding apple and war paint do fine under my leds but what I would call UFO scolies do poor.

did it look fine when you got it? or did you buy it already in this condition?

try putting it in a shaded low flow area..
