Scolymia Coral recue

Got a good deal on this scolymia coral. Trying to rescue it. Any ideas or suggestions?

Dip it and feed it. I brought back a similar one. Two actually.

Dipped already, it's not taking food but I'm spot feeding it Reef Roids & phytoplayton.

I would try feeding meaty foods when lights are out. I keep mine in the corner out of direct light.

Is it opening/closing its mouth? Can you see any mesenterial filaments? Does it react at all to any stimulus? Any tentacles extending? What foods have you tried?

Yes it's opening it's mouth and closing. It seems to be going well. Especially after I have dipped it.

Ahh, excellent. It should be able to get enough food from its zooxanthallae, so I wouldn't worry too much if it isn't eating quite yet. Well-processed foods are a good first step before moving on to the larger foods (like mysis). Keep your water parameters in check, and make sure nothing bothers it (like fish/inverts). Nice find and good luck!

Update, Scolly has made some great recovery with just good water parameters and direct feeding of Reef Roids. There was anther Warpaint Scolly that I tried to go back for but it was a skeleton plate remaining.
