pbd61.....the second scolymia in my pictures is the same as yours, I think....there's just no actinic in that tank. I did see one on atlantis....and somewhere else......right at about $450

The less colorful ones are much less, but the ones like ours seem to be about $200 and up.....I've seen some more common morphs go for $40

This was labeled as a Scoly but I now think it might be a Cynarina. Here it is sunbathing:

Thats similar to the last one i posted seapug. Different colors but same shape and look. Mine was sold as a scolymia as well but i'm starting to think it may be Cynaria also. It's just SO big and doesnt really have the flesh shape or style of my other scoly's.

How big is that one seapug?

It get's about 8-10 inches across when fully expanded. Here's a pic with normal lighting and at a somewhat smaller size (about 6"):

Yep, whatever it is, it's definitely the same thing as I have. Mine looks exactly like that.

My whatever it is, is about 12-15" across when fully expanded. In that pic he's probably only like 70% inflated.

He's actually starting to be a little bit of a problem. Keep having to move things further and further away

yeah. yours looks pretty happy, too. One thing I have learned is that they are friendly with Trachyphyllia brains. You can group them with the Scolys and Cynarinas and they won't damage each other if they touch.

Man, I'm having flashbacks to the 70's & those blacklight posters that were all the rage. Those are unbeilevable!!
