Scolymia problem

I thought i had the pics loaded on this computer but apparently i dont so i'll post a pic tonight but here goes...

About 6-8 months ago, i bought a nice little aussie scolymia. It has probably doubled in size since i bought it. Always looks good and always eats either pe mysis, shrimp or frozen cyclopeeze.

Saturday, i fed it and my other lps and everything was fine. Opened right up, ate, and looked happy. Monday, it looked a little droopy which is VERY rare for it.

Yesterday, i get home and it looked HORRIBLE. you could see like 80% of the skeleton! The weird thing was that no tissue receded or died off. The entire scoly and all it's flesh just peeled off the skeleton:confused: It still has it's nice bright orange color and all the flesh, it has just detached from the seleton and is holding on by a thread??? I

All parameters checked out and my other corals are all fine. Any ideas what mighta caused this and has anyone had something like this happen???

sounds like polyp bail out of some sort.
You sure your Alk is good? It is my number one "go to" for recession and bleaching incidences in LPS.

Yeah, it's decent. My KH/alk is about 8.3-8.6/2.97-3.09

I've never had something like this happen where there was no bleaching or recession whatsoever:confused: I could pull off the piece and glue it to a skeleton and you would have no clue something was wrong. It looks perfect until you realize it has pulled off of the skeleton????
