scolymia shrinks during the day

hey guys just a quick question but is it normal for scolymia to shrink up during the day? my scolymia is nice and inflated about 6hours during lights on then it starts to shrink and lights out arent for another 6hours. im using pc's and the scolymia is on my sand bed. all my other corals are inflated for the whole 12hours when lights are on but the scolymia. thanks again.

my guess is that there's probably some fish picking at it when the lights are on, and it's retracted for protection, other than that your bulbs might need changing. also, if you have halides, then it's the 12 hour light cycle that's doing it

im just runnin pcs but ill keep an eye out on the fish and see if they are picking at it.

I have a number of corals that seem to stop expanding when getting towards the end of the light cycle. If you have actinic dawn to dusk type light perhaps cutting back a little on the daylight and leave the actinics on for a longer period at the beginning and end of the light cycle.
