Scopas help

Well My scopas has been in my 75 for around 2 weeks after being in a qt for 3 weeks. Today he started to turn white at his back side. At first I thought it was ich but his whole back where it's black is turning white. Looks like its an Internal infection. What sucks is I don't have my qt re-cycled so I don't have anywhere to put him. All of the other fish are fine.

Diagnosis is a bit tricky. Can we get a clear, up-close photo?

A skin scraping would answer many questions and determine if it is a surface condition or likely something internal.

I would not assume internal until there are other indications. Move the fish to a hospital tank (whether it's ready or not) and treat it with NITROFURAZONE (in the product, Furan-2).

Control QT water quality through multiple/frequent water changes.

I would not recommend keeping the Scopas in quarantine for anything less than 6 weeks.

Well can't get a picture anymore only because this random white spot has disapeared. I'm not sure what was up but he seems to be fine now and has full color.

My guess but I don't know how he would be stressed unless my gramma was bothering him again.

Spoke too soon. He's comming down a few spots on his tail. I'm debating if I sure take the tank apart and try to catch him or try and pray garlic works for a little while. All of the other fish show no signs.

garlic hasn't been proven to fight ick. You will need to keep your main tank empty of fishs and treat all fishs in a separate tank with copper or hypo.

Yea I know about that. If it looks worse today Then I'll yank him out. Put him in my 36 and then my clowns, chromis, and gramma in a 20 gallon.
