Scoy, trachy, lobo... Ehh I dunno?

Hey guys im kinda confused on what kind of brain coral this is, it was labled rescue coral and the guy said it was a brain, but he didnt know what kind. Welp this is where you guys come in. Here are some pics if anyone can identify it would be much appreciated.

It's not easy to tell for sure. Can you try to get a direct top down shot for us?

At this point, I think it looks like a polyp of a Lobophyllia that was chopped up. L. hemprichii are commonly found in the hobby and that may be your coral's identity. It looks bleached to me and shading it from intense lighting would be wise until it regains more zooxanthellae.

Yea it looks a bit on the rough side. I got it as a rescue coral for 5 bucks, compared to how it used to look, it's alot better now. It expands to feed now and is growing well, im just waiting to see what it looks like as it matures. I can get a top shot of it tommorrow when my lights come back.
