Scratch in the glass

Tank has been throughly cleaned and now I notice that I have a scuff like scratch on the interior viewing pane. It is roughly 3" long. Search is currently disabled so I look to you guys for the remedies. It is a glass tank, no water yet.

I know they make buffing kits as well as "space age" plastic based filling kits - most should be safe for tank use. Might want to check out some of the windshield repair kits out there - also I think it depends on the scratch depth as to how well it can be repaired. Or - may want to call up a glass shop and see if they'll do it for you if you dont want to brave it yourself.

I was thinking of using tripe zero 000 steel wool as it has been recommended on car detailing site. I will test an area on the back pane.
