Scratching fish. Blue Spotted Grouper

I have a new fish that is constantly scratching on the rocks, and glass. He does not have Ich that I can see. He is 4" long, and I just bought him on Tuesday. I suppose that i could isolate him in another tank. But I wanted to know if it is possible that this is very usual behavior for Blue Spotted Groupers. Is it normal for this fish to scratch a lot? Any Blue Spotted Grouper owners out there?

I've never had a grouper, but I would say you now have ick in your tank. Can you treat him in your tank, or maybe move him out but watch your other fish to cause it's now in your tank. Good Luck
