Hi everyone!
I just wanted to ask around to see how many of you guys have tried a scribbled angelfish in a reef tank. What are youre experiences I have a 250g mixed reef. Thanks

Just got one from divers den last week but it wont be in my reef for 2 months (upgrading to a 150 long) he's sitting solo in a QT.

I keep several angels in a 120 with lots of rock with hiding places. There are some things you can't keep (I had all of my zoas, acans and lobos eaten) but I keep sponge and seaweed for them to graze on and my noxious softies, SPS and clams are left alone.

There is amazing tank featured in Endoh's Angelfish of the World book of a softy reef with a large pair of Scribbled Angels as the focal point....The tank is absolutely amazing, it has a couple of huge Toadstools. You should find the book.

I had a small (3") scribbled in my 120 mostly SPS reef for about a month. Got it from DD. Gorgeous fish that got along with all of my other fish and ate everything I threw at her. However, once she settled in, she became the "mouthiest" of all my fish -- including my slightly smaller Regal -- picking at every coral and clam in the tank. The tank is in my office so it is easy to feed 5-6 times a day, but that was not enough to keep her off the corals. I decided I valued PE on my stoneys and exposed mantles on my clams more than her and re-homed her. She is now quite happy in a FOWLR. My conclusion: like all angels, they are reef safe "with caution". I got lucky with my Regal, but unlucky with my Scribbled.
