this says structural. I've used this with awesome results. Yes I know rtv103 100 and 108 are better but I have none.

Actually the SCS1200 is stronger than rtv108.. Basically, the difference between the 1000 and 1200 is the 1000 is meant as a construction sealant; it's softer and more flexible to move with shifting building components, so the seal remains and doesn't tear when the building shifts a bit. 1200 is made to have dependable strength. It's typically the only thing holding the glass on skyscrapers.

SCS1200 has a tensile strength of 480 psi, but SCS1000 doesn't even list this.

The SCS is a sealant--that says it all. Sealants seal--adhesives hold stuff together. Sealants generally do not list a tensile strength, because their intended usage does not require tensile or adhesive strength.

Actually. . The 1200 IS AN ADHESIVE SILICONE. I was told scs stands for "specialty construction silicone" and the 1200 is used by Visio to construct some of their aquariums. So the 1200 is more then adequate. I was questioning the 1000.Sumps built already, I had enough 1200. Thanks for the reply though.

I didn't review the post, I was refering to the SCS1000--I left out the 1000 part... SCS1200 is one of two most bestest for our uses..... ;)
