SCUBA in Puerta Vallarta

Anyone know of a good place to SCUBA in Puerta Vallarta? I am going to be there next week and would love to get some plans made for a day I can do a dive with my wife (if I can convince her she wont get eaten by sharks or held hostage by pirates...). I have only been one other time in the Bahamas so need a guided tour type of deal I think...
Thanks!

Book through the resort if you have any doubt.. I just got back from puerto merelos, and every dive was guided, and easy to come by.

I'll never dive in FL again.. .02

Puerto Vallarta has some good diving. The visibility isn't stellar, and the water may be a bit chilly but there are lots of fish. My favourite site is Las Margaritas, it's a little island about 1 hour boat ride out into the bay. You might even see mantas this time of year. There are lots of eels, porcupine fish, tropicals and rays, the coral is mostly hard coral.

Vallarta Adventures is a HUGE party/cattle boat with lots of snorkelers, but it is fun and they have food, drinks and two bathrooms. Pacific Scuba has a little, fast six pack boat and they allow you to dive your tank.
Have fun!

I would not recommend Vallarta Adventures. The area is right off of the beach with 100's of people swimming around and Kayaks coming in. I always have the best snorkeling in Cabo.
