I tried to get on Scubaboard, but it won't let me post, reply, or pm so I came to good ol' RC for some SCUBA advice. I just got an old regulator and was wondering what model it was and of anyone knows whether or not parts are available.

Scuba Pro Mark V piston regulator from the 1980-1990s. It's a higher end balanced regulator. Good design should still have parts...only available from Scuba Pro dealers.
It is an absolute must to have it overhauled with all rubber parts replaced. This includes all hoses unless you KNOW the hoses are less than 5 years old.
This was a good design first introduced in the early 70s. Worth fixing but you probably will not end up saving any money over buying new.

i have a lot of dive buddies who regularly dive vintage gear. meh, not for me....love my atomic reg......been good to me.

scubapro is next on the list for premium regs.

are you planning on diving it?

That was the plan, although out of necessity not choice. May have changed after this feedback. I was looking at least $100 to get it serviced. If I have to get new hoses as well, that pushes it into new regulator territory. Already had to sell a skimmer and t5, I'm running out of surplus gear to sell!

there's a market for vintage gear on ebay. you might want to see if you can sell it there, and get something more modern. all of the new regulators are pretty darn nice and reliable.
