Scuzy's 210 gallon Build

I am also waiting on my Aquamaxx EM300 to get in from marine depot for the skimmer. The inline pump will be a water blaster 7000, the lighting will be three max spect razor 16k 120watts that I am also in the process of ordering. Just waiting for some Black Friday deals. :)

Another update, Just ordered the Water Blaster 7000 for the inline pump. The inline configuration will be directed at bottom corner of the tank to cover some missed flow configurations. I also ordered my 160lbs of Caribbsea seafloor sand but I am debating if I should just pick up some bulk aragonite sand from local sop with bigger grain. Cancelled the Aquamaxx EM300 from marine depot and got a Super Reef Octopus 3000 SSS in stead thanks to the premium aquatics pre thanksgiving deal. When I get back from Disneyworld I will start working on the inline piping as well as mounting all the necessary reactors into the stand.

On issued I am debating since I created my stand I used 2x6 for the beams instead of 2x8 and since I have no center beam support in my stand I am thinking of adding 2 2x4s in the center of the stand to add support. What do you guys think? Do I really need the 2x4's?

I hope Marcorocks is having a black Friday deal so I can order some dry rocks to aquascape my Big Island small Island configuration.

Hey, scuzy. I still have three football sized rocks left from MarcoRocks that I won't be using (I am guessing 20lbs, but am not sure). Trade you for a frag?

hmm i just realize i don't have a 180gallon tank it's actually a 210 Gallon. Good thing i bought a skimmer rated for 300+ gallon aquariums :)

More news i have finish painting the inline plumbing and also i got my Marco rocks in. I will be finishing up the plumbing this weekend and hopefully get the system running and ready to cycle for next week.

One of my Maxspect Razor 120watt units came in and i like the light so far. Still waiting for the other two to come out of back order. My reef genesis auto top off system just came in and i will be getting that setup soon as i am done with the tank . Lots of pictures coming.

Here is a few pics of the plumbing and my reef octopus

Will get more pics up. Just finish installing the plumbing awaiting my SCWD and cleanup of my old return pump.

Minor setback while finishing up the plumbing my brother broke the return pump outlet so awaiting coralvue to send me a new outlet housing for my water blaster 7000 for the sump. I will have pictures up of the plumbing tonight.

What a pleasant surprise!

+1 to this!

Subscribed!! I love that stand...wish I had the space to build one. You did a very professional job. Are you not gonna throw some "Killz" on the inside and seal the inside to prevent any possible water damage? Sorry about the setback, luckily it's only minor. GL!

I actually painted the inside with kills but the additional backing was not setup with it. I figure it's not the main supports so it should be ok.

So i had a little progress to day. tested the plumbing for both the return and inline for leakage.

here is a pic of me priming the inline to get it going.

i will be rinsing the sand tomorrow and start laying it into the tank tomorrow and also get my rockrocks up. Then it's to do a lot of RO/DI water for the next 2-3 days.

Can't wait for the replacement valute from coralvue to fix the broken return pump.

Looks great! The stand is beautiful and everything is looking great so far. Sump is great and the skimmer is a beast.

My replacement volute came in now both waterblasters are working and starting my cycle process with a table shrimp do I want to remove the head or leave it on?

Another good news is my other 2 maxspect razors just shipped. Will work on the canopy with my brother this long weekend. Can't wait to finish this sucker. The tank is cycling into week 2 just a few more weeks to go or when my params are goot. Currently nitrite and nitrate is pretty low but ammonia is a bit high. The denitrifying bacteria should be growing soon and should start lowering the ammonia. It's a lot better than 2 days ago.
