Over the new tank I plan on running a SE 400W MH magnetic ballast with a lumenarc type reflector 21X21 set up. I have seen MS big tanks with 20K and it is really purple-which I dont like.
I have zero experience with SE and wanted some feedback on bulbs. I prefer a blue crisp color but not too purple and no yellow!
I have read Sanjay postings as far as par with my ballast but I cant figure out the plot and how it relates to color VS real life experience.
I would prefer actual experience with magnetic ballast and different bulbs as to what color is more blue, not purple.
I will not be running actinic on the new tank because of the top down view and the no canopy deal.
I am also aware that my tank is only 11in deep and I only have zoos and rics-but that is another argument and I do not want to discuss it here. I just need help with actual experience with SE bulbs on magnetic M59 ballast.
