sea apple

I have heard that if they die they release a toxin that can kill your whole tank. Just something I have heard tho I dunno if it is true.

They can wipe out fish, but it won't hurt your inverts at all.. I have been thinking of trying one if I can find one. Even if it kills all of my fish, I am not out much

+1 I heard the same that they release toxin. I thing that make it difficult is that you can't tell if they are going to die.

I think they are probably no worse than some cucumbers. I have heard that they have dismal survival rates making them less appealing to most. I thought that Live Aquaria had them. They probably don't ship well

We had one in our 125gal. Never had a problem with it. It was cool to watch it pull in its tenicals and clean them off.

If I loose all of my fish, I am not out anything really... I have 2 that I would like to get rid of anyway.. I just think they look bad,

They are filter feeders so just add so food every now and then for them and make sure nothing is picking at them and you will be fine.

I've had one for at least three years, and have never had a problem with it releasing toxin...even when I've relocated somewhat more forcefully than I care to admit. (They tend to stick real hard to whatever spot they've decided to make their home.) Also, they will shrink in size if not well fed.

My two cents: Very beautiful critter worth the 'risk' which, in my experience, has been much lower than consensus.
