Sea Apples

I would like to successfully keep a species only sea apple tank.
I've done lots of reading but need to get some specific and personalized information.
I live on the Big Island of Hawaii,
and can legally collect a few sea apples since I have a DAR license.
However,I know that they are finicky,
people don't have much luck with them and that they have a specific diet.
The tank for them would be a 7 gallon nano,
as I already have a 20 gallon reef(basic softies, fish etc) but do not wish to nuke it if something did go wrong.

I use natural SW from the ocean and use it within an hour of collecting it. I could do 30% weekly water changes and feed a good brand of freeze dried phytoplankton every other day.
Would that be sufficient enough to keep one happy indefinitely ?
I realize that 7 gallons is not much water volume,
and that most people here deal with a much larger setup.
But I'm used to dealing with a nano so keeping it stable won't be a problem.

I think thats a very small water volume.

I should rephrase ;) ... I think you'll have a hard time maintaining water quality because the apple will need an almost constant supply of food.

good luck

I've had sea apples but only in larger tanks ,I found that when adding liquid invert food (shop bought) they would retract their tenticles and didn't seem to like being hit with that but when we put live brine shrimp in they would feed happily on them.Give them a go but a larger water volume will be easier to keep stable so I would suggest you go as big as you can.
ps. My old tank was about 100 gal and we had an apple for about 2 yrs
