Hello,
I recently received part 2 of my TBS package and received the cuke with it.
Since I introduced it to the tank, he has climbed up the glass and stayed there since (about 1 week). He has also develop some form of film on him that has now shread and it really looks like a molt.

Is it OK? I guess now it has molted it will go at the bottom to do his job. Should I bring him on the sand?

Thanks!

Yes they molt. Mine has molted about five times in the past 6 months. He is naturally the color of a turd, but after his molt, he is a more pleasant looking turd color...if thats possible.

lol....only people as crazy as reefers would put a turd in their tank and think its cool. I however opted for the black and grey variety and dodged the turd look.

side question: What do these things eat? I thought they were sand sifters, but mine never leaves the rocks.

Mine is a sandsifter, but the mechanism for eating (sticky appendages that put sand in the mouth) could be used for detritus and other stuff on the rocks. Mine goes on the rocks quite a bit too, and seems to be eating off of it.
