Sea Cucumber seems too have split?

Has anyone heard of this I wasnt aware if they were able to do this. One night I had noticed the tigertali cucumber on one side of the tank peeking out from a rock, and the other side of the tank there was another cucumber comming out of the rock. So it seems that it split in two. Any ideas why this happened?

Yep, well fed sea cucumbers will reproduce by fission. It must like like the home you've provided for it.

How large was it when it split?

last time I saw him out in front of the glass berfore I noticed it split I say about 15 in.

The tiger tails are fine they both constantly sift throught the sandbed eating away as usual. They are doing a great job of keeping the sandbed extra clean
