Sea Cucumbers

Hey everyone, just looking for a little advice.

In my tank at my office, I've had a brown sea cucumber for the last 8 months and he's been doing great. All over the sand, nonstop cleaning, etc.

In my tank at the house, we just got two very small sea cucumbers. One is all black and the other is black with a pink stripe. The black one is constantly on the glass, something I've never seen my brown one do. The pink stripe hasn't moved more than than an inch since we put him in 5 days ago. He is moving around but doesn't seem to be sucking anything up.

I just wanted to know if this is common practice for cukes, as the only experience I have with them is my brown one, who is doing amazing. I just don't know how long they are able to go w/o filter feeding through the sand... and with the black one always walking on the glass and the pink one just sitting there and moving a little, I'm not sure.

sometimes they take a while to get going, my first pink and black cucumber took almost a month before he started eating and pooping sand

great, thanks. that's all i needed to know

As long as they're not like the seaapples that are filter feeding that can pretty much nuke your tank when they die. I have 1 tigertail, it mops the tank floor. grew to 2.
