The importer needs to have the docs, once they are in the states they are ok for anyone who purchases them. The docs are CITES and customs, the price for a shipment is $55.00, and that includes all the animals on a single air waybill, the rareity of the animals has nothing to do with the price of the docs. For 7 years I imported fish, I used to do this every week. If and when some come available, they will have already cleared customs and all of the paperwork will have been stamped by fish and wild life, I'm sure that will be factored in the price, and as I said it is per shipment, not per animal.
