sea of marvels Great guy

My buddy bought a used 125 from hung at sea of marvels the local marine fish store in North liberty iowa. He filled his tank with water and with in a day the tank cracked. Now hung garunteed it wouldnt leak. But never said anything about cracking. well we took it back this morning. Hung was very understanding all he said was that he will see what he could do. He called all glass. They wouldnt cover it. So hung being the nice guy he is gave him a used 72 gallon all glass bow front and stand with hang in flow over box. I never would of thought of that. He was not mad at all. It just goes to show you how nice people can be and he stood behind he USED product no matter what. Hung is very nice guy and would recommend him to any one.

Is Sea of Marvels open Sundays at all?

yah i think for a couple of hours it is just not open tuesday kind of weird i know

What kind of stand did your buddy have? Lots of times if stand are built improperly it can cause MAJOR stress on teh glass causing it to crack. That is why All Glass only guarantees tanks that are on their stands.

Glad Hung worked something out with him though, that was definitely cool.

hung has a business cleaning tanks along with them store, he cleans tanks and does maintainence for his customers on tuesdays

yah my buddy had a home made stand that was perfect, not un level anywhere, the tank was old it was in hungs old store that he has had for a while. But yah he took care of it, i couldnt believe, i didnt think he would do anything. But he did. I wish all people were like him.

I have learned to understand him solely buy being around him so much. It took me ages to understand him and still at times have a problem occasionally.

He also runs to Chicago on Tuesdays to pick up coral and fish. That is the reason his stuff always looks so nice, it is hand picked.

I lived in IC a few years back, before I was doing saltwater. I remember a snowstorm that had me stuck on the Coralville strip for a few hours, and I ended up stopping in to Sea of Marvels. I remember it being a very nice place with lots of livestock I hadn't seen anywhere else. Also, lots of HUGE livestock that most stores wouldn't bother to carry. Where exactly is he in North Liberty now? The place I recall was not far from Hy-Vee on the main Coralville strip.

He is located off of exit 4 on 380. If you go to the Casey's and turn right then take your first right down towards the apartments they are building, he is right across the street from the apartments.
