I just wanted to take the time and let everyone know about the great Customer Service I received from Jim & Jan at Sea Quest Marine. Over a 1 ½ years ago I purchased two Velocity T3 pumps from them. Because of the calcium build up I had from the salt water it required me to clean out the pump, this was no problem. A couple of screws here a couple more there and it was done. I took care of the calcium build up and put the pumps back together. Well afterwards I had a slow leak and needed a new O-ring. After ordering on line from a suggested retailer that caries the O-rings for the Velocity T3’s, I soon found out it was not the one I needed. I contacted the retailer and he assured me that was the correct O-ring, I did not think so it was much thinner then the original. I had no place to turn; so I decided to contact Sea Quest since that is where I bought the pumps from to see if they had any idea of where I could go to get the correct O-ring.
Soon after e-mailing Sea Quest with my problem; Jim called me back and got some extra information on my problem. A few days later he called me back again to explain that the Velocity brand is sold by a few different manufactures. There are two styles one with a plastic support bracket and one with a metal support bracket. I was in need of an O-ring for the plastic support bracket. Jim notified me that all he needed was the serial number off the pump and he could get me the correct O-ring. This was great news to me I was very concerned that I was going to have a couple hundreds of dollars in leaky pumps running my tank.
I received numerous follow up phone calls from Jan and Jim making sure they had my current mailing address and also once the O-rings were sent they called to see if everything was to my liking.
I can’t convey to everyone just how much I appreciate all the leg work that Sea Quest Marine did in finding the equipment I needed. They are truly remarkable in standing behind their sales, even after a year’s time.
