Sea Slug 411

My G.F brought home a sea slug. She bought it because of its beautiful colors. The thing is i really had never had interest in purchasing one and now that i read some info there hard to feed. Should i just take it back or what should i feed it. The lfs store she bought it at(one i never go to and far from here) told her they eat algae like reg. turbo snails. They said it was a tri color sea slug and they dont know the scientifc name. I tried looking it up with no success. Its top body is black the bottom is a light blue and on top of its head horns like, haha, and middle top of its back is burgundy it had 4 yellow dots on its side. Anyone. Thank you.

It will be a dorid nudibranch, and unfortunately, will feed only on one or a few species of sponges that you probably don't have growing in your tank. They don't eat algae. You can either take it back and try to get your money back on it, or you can keep it in your tank until it starves (it may last from a few weeks to a few months, depending on how long since it's eaten). It will starve in either case, whether it's in your tank or back at the LFS.
