Sea star/star fish.

I stand corrected on the opae ula shrimp. I never new them to acclimate well to marine specific gravities for extended time frames. Just never considered them a feeder shrimp. Shrimp are friends not food. LOL except prawn and mysids those are food. Oh and with that kind of background what the hell are doing in Missouri. You do realize we're as far from the ocean as just about anyone could be. Why would you leave something like that behind. Must have been a girl.:inlove: :p

I'm finishing some schooling I need for my next job. Marine Biology is my field but I really want to focus on deeper-water coral studies like they are running in the Red Sea. I have around two more years here then its back to the water.

:D

I think Ocean Rider used to sell the red shrimp as a food source for their seahorses. I didn't know the shrimp were in trouble, but I didn't see them offered on their website last time I was on there.
Isn't kalkwasser best left alone once mixed? Dump in the kalk and give it a couple of stirs and let it be. Iit is said it'll keep reacting with the CO2 in the air and precipitate out. The skin it forms on the surface helps to keep it from reacting with the air.
Don't think I'll ever go to Hawaii. Too afraid I wouldn't come back. I think I could manage to be happy living out the rest of my years in a cardboard box on the shore...

the power-head I have in my ATO is tiny. The water still gets the skin but the small fan just keeps a slight movement in the water.
