Sea World's new Ray tanks

Sharks!!!!
I finally got the oppertunity to go to Sea World the other day, mainly to ride "Manta" (which was AWESOME) but once I found out about the new aquariums....well.

They have really out done it this time. All of their new tanks have live corals in them. Huge new Ray tank that you can walk underneath with a... ray/shark? I can't remember the name but they said they are real docile and a combination of a ray and a shark. She was a real beauty.. I have some video and pics I'll post of the tanks and the octopus tanks. I can't put my thoughts down quick enough.

You just have to see it. Give me a day and i'll get those pics up.

^ Yup they are called SharkRays. Pretty interesting creature if you ask me. We have two of them, "Sweet Pea" and "Scooter" at our aquarium. I just love looking at them.

They finally put up new aquariums? Where in the park are they located? They used to have this gigantic aquarium that had been closed down for years and they had small display tanks in there.

I'm going to post some videos tonight once I get home but just as you get into the park they created some new giant aquariums inside the new "Manta" rollercoaster. Granted the tanks are new so the corals are still nice size frags but in a year those tanks are going to be amazing.

I know they are in the works to get two more sharkRays (thanks) and are going to try and breed them.

I finally found the time to post some videos that I was able to take at Sea World's new aquariums under the Manta ride. This first one is of the Octopus tank. Actually they have two tanks connected in the center by a plexiglass tube that the octopus can go back and forth with.

This next video is just one of the REEF tanks they have up and running. I'm not exactly sure where all the bubbles are coming from in the water column but may just be a morning maintenance issue. I was there as the park opened up.

Finally the RAY TANK - I actually have two videos but the other one with the SharkRay is very large and i'm trying to make it smaller. This video is the part you get to walk under and watch the Rays swim over you. Very cool:eek2: Plus there are one or two areas to the side you can view the rest of the ray tank.
