had a sebae for about 2 weeks or so. Of course its still bleached out but it took right to a spot and hasnt moved but about an inch so I guess it likes the spot. Opens up really nice and has a nice closed mouth. When I try to feed it closes up like it thinks it is being attacked or something. Trying to feed it silversides. I guess it would move if wasnt getting some debris or something out of the water. Any suggestions or just keep trying to feed?

Mine almost always closes up when it eats. How are you feeding it? I use some tongs to bring the food right to the mouth then it usually wraps around the food then I remove the tongs.

I use tongs also. Closes up before I can get food close enough to it. Opens right back up in a few minutes after I leave it alone.

I've had my Sabae for about 4 months now. It was really bleached when I bought it. It's darkened up a lot now and looks really healthy, but I still can't get it to eat. I've tried small pieces of silversides, krill, and have tried shooting mysis near it's mouth. It must be getting what it needs from the light and/or the water column, or I'd think it wouldn't have darkened up like it has. I haven't tried sticking a silverside right into it's mouth though. Have only tried putting the small piece of silverside on the tenticles near his mouth. I guard him for several minutes, but he doesn't seem to attempt to eat the food, and then the clown ends up stealing his food.

Pammy do not put food right into his mouth! Just like you have been doing, bring food near his mouth
