Seabe anemone and LFS holding tank

My lfs usually gets these blue tipped sebae anemones(I think) but the tanks that house the anemones, a well all other tanks, have cyano and bubble algae. Can these carry these specimens? I have coral RX to dip it in, but will that do what is needed? Premium Aquatics never has the blue tipped sebae anemone!!!

Do NOT dip your nem in coral rx, if your worried about the algae you should be fine but make sure the nem is healthy

Aiptasia is an anemone too. Whatever kills aiptaisia may as well kill your sebae. For sure do not dip in coral rx. If you don't want stuff to hitchhike, put it in a QT if you have one.

If you can place the new anemone in a holding tank with water change water from the tank its going to be in, for the few days, you can pretty much watch out for pests etc.

Also, kind of rinsing the anemone with water change water from the destination tank should clear off any cyanno etc.

To be honest, unless you buy the anemone attached to a rock, I dont think there is much chance of carrying pests over in the flesh of the anemone unless you place the anemone straight into your tank and have the LFS water go into your tank as well.

Hope that kinda makes sense.

yeah because i dont think the anemone will just allow so little pest join his new home with him? Im hesitent on quaritinieng one due to the lack of light and nutrients in the QT tank.
i think i will drip acclimate for 30 minutes, rasing the salinity he will come with at 1.18-1.20 to 1.25. And shake him around a little as a "rinse"
