Seachem Marine Buffer and cupramine

I know you can't use ph buffers with cupramine but what about seachem's? It says it has sodium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, and potassium salts of carbonate, bi-carbonate, chloride, sulfate and borate. It doesn't seem to have the additives that will turn the copper to the more lethal side. Thanks

None of that is needed for fish. As far as PH buffers, Ive never heard they cant be used with Cupramine. Its the water treatments that remove ammonia, chlorine, and heavy metals you cant use. Things like Prime.

Yea, I know fish don't need that. Since I started the cupramine the ph has slowly started to drop. About .1 a day. It is now 7.46 and need to get that up. I just read some ph buffers use the ammonia and such detoxifying stuff in there also. I was just listing the ingredients as a reference.

That product should be fine with Cupramine. Baking soda would be safe, too. I might look at the aeration, since the low pH might be due to the buildup of carbon dioxide, consistent with an aeration issue. Any signs of gasping?

Just breathing heavy. I have my maxijet with the airtube on it that has been working great. They have been in the tank about 5 weeks now and ph was fine. Right after the copper, heading south. Gonna do a 25% water change and give it a bit and add some if need be.

I'd get more agitation on the water surface, and check for a surface film. It might not help, but it's easy to do.
