I am fighting ich and can't pull the fish out. Already lost an achilles and mimic tang and really want to save my fowleri. I have a mixed reef and was wondering if mixing these with food is reef safe.

try garlic xtreme, a little on food, and ich should dissapear over time. But, your problem sounds more like a oodinum outbreak to me, best bet would be to catch the fish and give them dips individually.

I have been trying the garlic, selcon, vitia-chem trick for awhile now to no avail. Why does it sound like oodinum to you? I will look that up.

I don't think it is velvet. My Fowleri has had it for 3 weeks now and my achilles and mimic had it for 2 plus weeks before succumbing to it. The rest of my tank is fine. I really think it is ich. Are the medications above safe if mixed correctly?

is it bad do you have any pics? Is it outside or under the skin? it sounds like you will need to get it out of the tank asap if others have died.

I had a small yellow tang that got ich. He was brushing himself aginst the rocks I put a cleaner shrimp in my tank and 3 days later all of the ich was gone and 5 days later he was not brushing the rocks hardly at all. He looks healther also. Fed garlic and vitamins to help imune system. This should work if not real bad.

Hope this helps

along as the fish is eating fine you can try this I have found that if you go to the grocery store and get a garlic clove and cut it and smash it and put it into a small cup and mix it with some frozen food and feed it to your fish this will help speed up the process. expecially if you cant get it out of the tank.

good luck hope this helps. Keep in mind this will be messy but I think it will be well worth it. I will be pulling for you keep in mind this will take about 4-5 days and you should see a great improvement.
