Seachem Reef Dip and my Monti Cap

I have been having a problem with white patches on some of the plates on my Monti Cap. Knowing my parameters were in check and doing a little research i figured it was Nudi's. Wasnt to sure of the best way to rid the coral of them except to do a dip. I had on hand the Seachem Reef Dip and aslo used a soft toothbrush on the base the coral is mounted to and now i notice the coral has lost a lot of its dark pimentation. Should i expect the color to return or did the dip kill the coral?

What is a better way to rid the coral of Nudi's?? Don't want to make the same mistake again?

Someone has to have done a Iodine dip before?? Any change in color after??
