SeaChem Salt Order - New Thread

Hi, so it appears that the salt order is going through.

We will need to buy it in lots of 36 however, so it's 36 buckets or 72 buckets. I just need to gauge how many buckets each person wants.

The cost is going to be roughly 33.66 a piece including shipping cost (this is an estimate however). The cost may change by a dollar or two one way or the other, so be prepared!

So let me know how many buckets of salt you want in this thread. Please only indicate how many you want that you are really prepared to buy. I suspect we will have no problem filling an order of 36 so nobody overestimate how many they will need, ok?

Some people will need more than others...like the ones with big tanks and with clownfish breeding systems (matt!), oh and also the ones who water change regularly (so not Donny). hah hah.

Oh and it would be helpful to post your maximum and minimum number of buckets you'd want.

I'll start...I want 4 but I'd take 6.

3 please... Thanks...

Randy

Hmmm, How often does this take place??? The mass salt order that is???

I'll bow out for now... though I'll probably be seeking to buy one or two off someone later on. (from those getting more then they need)

That's half already. I knew these would go fast.

Randy, it just depends...typically twice a year (though not always every 6 mo).

Well that's all 36.

I wonder how far off we'd be from getting another 36 sold. I know that we could already have 6 of those sold.

If someone else wants salt we are going to have to decrease the numbers that some people take and then just order more often (that's not too big of a deal though). I could drop off 1 or two if I need to, especially if I knew we were gonna order again fairly soon.

I want to wait a couple of days to make sure that everyone who wants salt has had a chance to chime in, then we can start collecting money.

Dave, we'll see if you and I need to buy less buckets or not once everyone has had a chance to say whether they want salt.

Update: The cost per bucket is actually 34.55. Jason got back to me with a more accurate shipping quote.

Doesn't seem like anyone else is going to chime in on the salt. Plus we can always work it out later, with people selling a bucket or two to latecomers.

Our fearless treasurer is going to collect the money so I will let him handle it from here!
