Seachen copper test

Hello,

I have been using cupramine and the seachem copper test.
However the copper test does not seem to register and I don't want to overdose them.

I have two differant kits and the referance sample works in neither one.

In one the reagent powder is snow white in the other test it is yellowish with copper colored flecks in it.

Is there a better brand of test out there?
Can both of these be bad?

I just called seachem and they explained that the current batch of reagents work in freshwater and not in saltwater. They are currently working on the problem and will replace the reagents hopefully in the next few weeks.

So that leaves me with needing another type of kit.

Does the red sea work correctly with cupramine?

how about salifert?

Personally I wouldn't trust the reagents they send. I went through 3 sets, two of which came from Seachem directly, and still had problems.

Red Sea does work correctly. I believe Salifert does, but not 100% sure.

What do you aim for using the red sea copper test kit?

I just got it today and it says I am at 0.25.

Do you go to 0.4
