How much flex is acceptable on these tanks? Its a 50 gallon (36x15x20). I got it used, filled it up to leak test and the back has a visible amount of bowing to it. I assume this is normal for acrylic to some degree?

All acrylic (and even glass) tanks bow to some degree. For acrylic tanks, visible bowing comes with the territory unless fairly thick acrylic is used. Don't know much about the SeaClear brand, but I imagine that they stand behind their products and don't make aquariums that will bow to the point of failure.
