junk, mine leaked at the lock fittings, and i tossed it, got a prizm that is a ton better

Well I'll give you a more extended answer to help you with your skimmer choice....
Seaclone skimmers are a pretty basic skimmer with a very basic pump. The pump on the skimmer is a maxi-jet without a moded impeller. The venturi on the end of the intake is very small and doesn't pull in a whole lot of air, making there to be less bubbles. Many people will tell you they are crap but you could mod the skimmer to work better for the price you can also find a better skimmer on the market. If you have a budget of sale $100, than I would look at a coralife super skimmer or even a Tunze doc 9002 internal skimmer. Let me know if you have any more questions.

It's paramount to a sin on this board, but I have a SeaClone 150 on my 90 gallon. No question it's an inferior skimmer but I like it's minimal visibility for a hang on setup and it's easy to maintain. My tank sticks out perpendicular to a wall so it's three sided with the external overflow on the narrow end against the wall. It's not quite wide enough to fit both the overflow and a skimmer on the narrow end and I didn't want a giant black box hanging on one of the long viewing sides so I figured it was better than no skimmer at all-- and they are relatively cheap. Once they run in and you master the art of adjusting the air flow they can be reasonably productive. I do intend to upgrade to something else once I find a hang on brand/model that has a low enough profile to fit on the back, but until then I will continue SeaCloning and keeping a good water changing schedule.
I wouldn't "recommend" a SeaClone to someone, but if your needs are specific and/or your budget is tight, they are better than no skimmer at all.

They do not skim very well, might want to invest a bit more and get a coralife super skimmer and it's twice the skimmer of the seaclone.

My SC150 on my 55g pulls a cup every two days, tried the mods out, I find I can make the think skim much better without any mods to it. There are extrrmely touchy as far as the air intake settings are concerned. I do agree with everyone, it's an inferior skimmer, but I have had my 55g for going on two years now, very little problems if ever and none have been because of my skimmer. If you have an extremely tight budget they are definatly better than nothing. And I do plan on buying a SC100 for my 29g. it'll work good enough. Now for my 220g, you couldn't pay me enough to run a sea clone on it. In fact, the 55g is probably the largest tank I would attempt a SeaClone 150 model on. Even though they're rated for 150g (yeah right!).

i also have a sc150 works alright, like adam i also tryed out the mods, it worked alittle more better but i took off the mods and just left it stock, alot of people say different things about all kinds of stuff but to me the skimmer dose its job. i also use a red sea prism on my larger tank, i havent try modding it it works great for my set up at the time i was sumpless got the sump i havent upgraded because i am happy with both skimmers

I have a Super Skimmer I picked up locally from the Drs. people bag on it but I get dark skim and after the break in which was mildly annoying it runs perfect, no issues.
