seafan receeding

I've just bought a new blue polyp seafan. Well when i purchased it it had several tips that had receeding tissue. What should i do about it?

Unfortunately, those things almost never survive long term. There were a Bunch of them brought in a little while back, and virtually all receeded in the long run.

Your best bets are to keep the obvious factors in check- good water quality, wide/strong water flow, and LOTS of food (those are nonphotosynthetic). Good luck with it- theyre beautiful corals.

Which one: blueberry (large light blue polyps on wide fan) or intense blue very small polyps on slender vertical shaped fan?

I would remove the dead branches, but it's up to you.

Few times a day feeding, any zooplankton that fits the mouthes, small doses frequently, if possible.

The small polyped is prone to be covered by algae (bryopsis in my case), when places in well lit place. The blueberry has bad prognosis, from my experiense: I had never seen it eating, in spite of the big polyps.
