Seahorse Food

I have a tank that used to have a Seahorse in it, but I gave it away because I was tired of having to feed the seahorse slowly. Now, I have started to buy live brine shrimp, and I just put it into the tank a couple times a day. Am I ready to buy a seahorse again? I also have 2 clownfish in there, but they did fine w/ the seahorse.

BTW, my tank is ready for a seahorse. I have a couple Branch Rocks, and It is FILLLED with chaeto

Brine shrimp isn't nutritional enough as a food for seahorses. It is okay when gutloaded with vitamins as an occasional snack, but I would look into captive bred seahorses that eat frozen mysis. www.seahorsesource.com and www.dracomarine.org both sell aquacultured seahorses. You can train the seahorses to eat the frozen mysis out of a feeding station so to help make sure they get enough to eat.
