I have a seahorse in my 15 gallon fuge. It just gave birth to about 100 seahorses. I have been feeding frozen rotifers about three times a day

Hello,

I can't be positive on the species of seahorse, but if it's Kuda the fry would be paeligic (non-hitching) and would need live rotifers as their first food. Small strain newly hatched bbs could also be used in a pinch.

I'm in Reading,PA and keep Erectus which can eat newly hatched bbs from birth.

I've had no luck with the tougher-to-raise paeligic fry from Kuda, Northern Erectus, Reidi so I can't offer many useful tips.

The biggest issue would be to keep them off the surface of the water to prevent them from ingesting air and becoming "floaters". Secondly is the food issue as they are usually too tiny to accept newly hatched brine as their first foods.

p.s. Nice website! I may have to make a trip to your store sometime. I've been looking for Picasso clownfish ;)

As long as there is a some slight surface turbulance it should keep them from the top. You could drop a few open airlines in the tank to keep the surface in motion and keep them from surfacing.

You may not have any issues with them going to the surface and floating - just thought I'd mention it so you know what to look for. Best of luck!
