Seahorse safe spray paint

I just recieved a pair of H. Redi seahorse, I am planning on making a setup just for them. Is there any type of spray paint that I could use to paint some decorations inside the tank to bring out the colors?

Thanks.

Anything that is marked as safe for use on potable water systems is ok. I havent looked in a long time so I dont know of specific brands/types to go for, but the potable water label is good.

I just began experimenting with Krylon Fusion (the plastic spray paint you refer to) after reading it was safe. So far, its been fine. I would be sure to let it thoroughly dry, then rinse it really good. I think the can may even have said it takes 7 days to fully cure.

If you are looking to paint the tank, you can just paint the outside. If you are looking at painting things inside the tank, consider epoxy paints. I have painted several fiberglass tanks with epoxy paints and will be painting a very large custom built wood sump soon with it. With the epoxy paints we let them cure for about a week, then soak them in ammonia and give a good scrub, rinse and then use.

Okay thanks for the info, I went and bought some Krylon fusion and painted some decorations. I let them dry for a few hours and then put them in the tank(fish less). I am going to let the tank run for a week or so just with fresh water then drain it and put some fresh saltwater in the tank to begin the cycle.

I'm pretty sure a few hours is not long enough. Krylon fusion has a 7 day cure time. I just checked the can. Some people say 24 hours is enough but I wouldn't risk it.
