Well me and the wife have decided to convert our 55 gallon tank into a seahorse tank instead of the 8 gallon biocube we set up for horses.I figure this will be more stable and allow us more choices.I plan on putting a little rock structure in the tank.maybe one nice center section or two tower sections and i want to do a tank full of different algaes and sponges. Not really any other corals.maybe a toadstool.Would like some ideas for the tank and maybe some pics of your set ups. Thanks!

i use LR (typically a mix of Tonga branch and Fiji/M.I.) and lots of live macro algae in my SH setups.

these pics of our 50 gal pent has been around, but i'll post them for convenience:

Very nice.that is what i am looking to do in ours. What types of algae do you have in there and how strong are your lights.Right now i have regular t5 lights on the tank.Should be more than enough to grow some of that in there.

I also use LR and lots of macro algae in my setups, but also some corals and gorgonians.

This is my 58 (and a couple SH pics for fun, we all like them:) )

I have a tank in the process of becoming seahorse tank. What are those plants and algae in your tank? do they require certain power of light or they will do in any lights?

due to the shape of the tank (pentagon) we're running a 96W PC power quad 50/50.

the macro in the tank are C. racemosa (green grape), Botryocladia (red grape), Codium, pink galaxy (i forget the binomial), and that bushy red stuff in the front was a "freebie", the name of which also escapes me, but it's the SH fave hunting spot.
