My new tank raised Brazilian seahorses have been losing their color. What does this mean? They eat really well and swim a lot. I tested water and all seems to be good (PH 8.3, Nitrate 20 ppm). They first started out really bright yellow and they look sort of pale white. Thanks for the help

Seahorses change color according to their environment or moods. If you put a lot of colored hitches in the aquarium like fake branching corals, they might try to blend in. Having a blue background can also help.
