Sealing Acrylic

After looking around here on RC I see that Weld-On is used to seal acrylic. I have a sump that seems to be leaking along a seam and wondered if I could just run a bead of Weld-On along all the seams to seal it. This of course after emptying and drying the sump of course.

Also if that's what I should be using, where can I buy Weld-On in So. Maine?

I have a can of Weld-On. It is enough to last me about 200 years
at my current usage. You can have some if you want.
You can also buy it at Maine plastic on County Rd (rte 22)
Westbrook. They only sell it in a pint size.

I posted a similar issue on the Do It Yourself forum, and was told there are a whole bunch of Weld On products, of varying density, for different jobs. I would try posting your question there, because the answer I got for my situation makes me think just running a bead won't do it.

For my own repair, I'm going to use WeldOn 16 and apply a patch by gluing another piece of acrylic on the weak zone. I've found this glue online, don't know if I'll be able to find in Maine.

Thanks so much for the tip. I had looked and searched a bit and also found there's quite a variety of Weld-On products. I also looked at the Weld-On web-site and got some good ideas there too. After reading all I think either #3 or #4 would work. #4 is a bit slower to dry and that might be good for my first attempt at applying the stuff.

I believe I just have a seam that's leaking and not much else. I have the sump cleaned and dried so it's ready for something. How's the new tank coming along? I can't wait to see it all set up.
