Sealing bottom of stand

I'm getting ready to start a 90 gallon DIY stand, I would like to waterproof and seal the bottom of the stand to prevent any water loss. What do you guys use to seal the bottom of your stand?

I used 1 part, gloss white epoxy appliance paint. It worked great, the finish is durable, and easy to wipe clean. I did 2 coats of Zinsser white primer, then 2 coats of paint. I found the recommendation here. Its sold at HD by the quart.

That and some caulk.

Killz is a great product, but only a primer. I would use killz, a high quality exterior window/door/bathroom caulk like GE and a couple layers of high gloss oil based paint. Sand the wood very, very smooth to get a fine finish so the paint lays down flat and the end result has no burs or roughness. This way when you drag a towel across the wood it doesn't snag and instead the surface is like glass.

As always, success with anything like this is 90% prep and 10% finish.

This protective enamel from rustoleum has been pretty good so far for me. Needs about two coats and feels indestructible afterwards. Then seal up any cracks with a nice interior/exterior grade siliconized acrylic. Or you could seal up the cracks first and then paint the caulking too. Just make sure the caulking says that it can be painted.

I love kilz, but as mentioned it is only a primer and really needs a finish coat.
So many options on finish coats from latex to epoxy to even vulcanized paints depending on what you want to spend and how much you wish to put into it.
Kilz and a latex or epoxy would be my call
