Seastar intentification

This sea star has been living on my overflow for months. It has made an impression through all of the coraline to the black plastic of my overflow. As you can see from it's cookie-cutter feeding spot, it has 8 arms. The sea star will almost always be sitting in that exact same spot, but occasionally will move 2-3" away and then move back by the next day.

In this picture you can see him a few inches from the usual spot.

Any ideas as to what kind of sea star this is?

Yeah, it's about an inch and a half in diameter so it's a little too big for even the larger of the typical asterinas.

I have several wondering the tank at 1.4" in length...

As far as the star on the overflow, looks pretty cool and front shots? Hard to tell alot from the side.

I don't think I'll be able to get a front shot without some underwater housing. My overflows are on the side of the tank and my corals and rockwork usually block the view from the opposite side.

I'll work on getting a closer shot of the star though. It's outside is covered with coralline and other algaes, it wasn't when I first saw it, but over time it's started to match the overflow in coloration. Previously it was just grey in color.
