how much space is needed between the tank and wall for a 3/4" seaswirl

They swivel and you can mount them so that they sit completely on the tank. Mine do not hang off the back of the tank; they sit on it sideways.

they are adjustable - I have mine center tank on the back, tank is about 5 inches from the wall. I left just enough room for plumbing, and the ballasts are hanging on the wall. did that help? I had an issue with the clearance on my light fixture - had to raise it almost an inch.
